USDC at Vave: Not Confirmed, and Why That Is Not the Same as Not Accepted

Vave's help center answers the question of which cryptocurrencies are accepted in one line, and USDC is not in it. That does not tell us Vave refuses USDC. It tells us that the one line we could read, written some time ago, does not mention it.

This page is about the difference between those two statements, which is a difference the whole site depends on.

What the list says

The help article on accepted cryptocurrencies, stamped September 2023, reads as a single line: BTC, ETH, BCH, DOGE, USDT with ERC20, TRC20 and Solana, LTC, TRX, XRP, EUR and USD. It carries no sentence saying the list is complete, no words such as only, and no warning about anything left out.

A second article, on minimum deposit amounts and stamped a few days later, gives a table. It holds minimums for the coins in the first list, including three for USDT, one per network. It has no row for USDC either.

Why not accepted would be wrong

A list that does not say it is exhaustive is a list of what the operator chose to name. A coin that is missing from it might be absent because it is unsupported, or because the article is older than a change, or because the author did not think of it. The three possibilities look identical from outside. The honest wording is therefore that we did not confirm it, and we use exactly that.

The date adds weight to that caution. An article stamped in September 2023 describes the cashier of that month, and operators add coins. It would be a mistake to read the silence as a current refusal.

What to do about it

If you want to deposit USDC at Vave, open the cashier and see which coins and networks it offers for your account, then ask support in writing if USDC is missing. If the cashier lists it, the cashier is the authority and this page is out of date. If it does not list it, consider USDT, which the help center names with three networks, but only after reading what those networks require.

The dollar in Vave's list

The list ends with EUR and USD, written next to the coins as accepted currencies, which means the cashier handles dollars as a currency in their own right. For USDC readers that is a reminder that the dollar and a dollar-pegged coin are different things, and that a cashier can take both and treat them differently.

Left out on purpose
